Troop 65 Centennial Celebration


Troop 65 has the distinction of being the oldest continuously chartered troop in the Longhorn Council, and one of the oldest Troops in the State of Texas. The troop is sponsored and has been chartered by the First United Methodist Church of Denton since the troop was founded in 1918.

 

We hope you can join us for the 100th anniversary celebration being held in honor of BSA Troop 65 on March 3, 2018 in Denton, Texas.  The Event will run from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm, and will feature:

  • Live music
  • Bounce House
  • Careflight helicopter and military vehicles
  • Model campsite
  • Demonstrations of scout skills and outdoor cooking
  • Troop 65 history and memorabilia
  • Fun for the whole family!
Time:  11 am – 4 pm, Saturday, March 3rd, 2018
Location:  The “Scout Hut”, Evers Park on the corner of Windsor and FM 2164 in Denton

Cost: The event is free to attend!

Lunch will be catered.  Tickets are available for advance purchase online for $10 through Saturday, February 24th.  Alternatively, you may purchase them in person from any active Troop 65 scout.
